My photography style & approach to capturing your Wedding Day.

Discover my Photography Style and how I approach capturing your Wedding Day.

When you step into my portfolio and photography work, you're entering a space defined by love, emotion, and a deep sense of storytelling. My approach to photography, is about more than just capturing moments—it's about preserving the essence of a day, the connection between people, and the emotions that make each day unforgettable. Let me take you through the key elements that define my style, so you can better understand what you can expect when you choose me to document your most important moments.

A Passion for Weddings

Weddings are at the heart of what I do. I’m drawn to the magic of these days because they’re filled with some of the most meaningful moments in life. My goal is to capture the intimacy between couples—the glances, the smiles, the tears of joy—in a way that feels genuine and true to who they are. I don’t just photograph the event; I capture the connection that makes it special and the changing emotions throughout the day.

The Magic of Natural Light

There's something truly enchanting about natural light and so I often photograph during the golden hour or in softly diffused light, which lends a warm, gentle quality to your images. This type of lighting enhances the romantic atmosphere, making the photos not only beautiful but also romantic. It’s all about finding that perfect light that tells your story in the most beautiful way.

Embracing Emotion in Black and White

While I love colour, there’s a certain depth and timelessness that black and white photography brings to a scene. I use this approach selectively, focusing on close-ups or moments of emotion. These shots strip away the distractions, leaving only the raw feelings that make a moment truly memorable.

Capturing the Candid, Unstaged Moments

Life is full of spontaneous beauty, and I believe the best photographs come from moments that are genuine and unposed. My style is about letting moments unfold naturally, allowing people to be themselves - whilst providing gentle guidance to get the best possible moments. This approach creates a narrative that feels authentic and true to the experience.

A Celebration of Cultural Diversity

Every love story is unique, and I have a deep appreciation for the rich variety of cultures and traditions that couples bring to their weddings. My portfolio reflects this diversity, showcasing weddings from different backgrounds. This variety not only enriches my work but also tells a more complete story of love in all its forms.

The Beauty in the Details

In every wedding, it’s the small details that often carry the most meaning. I pay close attention to these—whether it’s a shot of the wedding rings, the bouquet, or a special accessory—because they add depth to the story. These close-up shots help weave together the narrative of your day, making sure that no part of your story is left untold.

A Hint of Fashion

While my primary focus is on storytelling, I also love to infuse a touch of fashion into my work. This is especially evident in bridal portraits, where I bring an editorial edge to the composition and styling. It adds a polished, timeless quality to the images, giving them an elegance that is both classic and contemporary.

The Heart of My Photography

In summary, my photography is a blend of romance, emotion, and storytelling. I strive to create images that are beautiful but also deeply personal and meaningful. By combining the best elements of classic wedding photography with a modern, candid approach, I aim to provide you with photographs that will not only remind you of how your day looked but also how it felt.

If you’re looking for a photographer who will capture your wedding day with heart, authenticity, and a touch or art, I would be honoured to be a part of your journey. Book a meeting with me to find out more.
